The Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences supports the research directions adopted by Transilvania University of Brașov.

We aim to capitalize on existing resources at the university and our faculty, to develop ongoing research directions, but also to explore new topics with a high potential for innovation and major implications in the field of psycho-pedagogical sciences.

The scientific research activity of the teaching staff of the Department of Psychology, Education and Teacher Training is focused on increasing our visibility nationally and internationally, on obtaining results that can be implemented in psycho-pedagogical practice and increasing the quality of our work with students and other beneficiaries.

The research at our faculty aims at the following fields that are found in the strategy of the Research Centre for Personal, Professional, Institutional Development and Education for a Sustainable Community of the Research and Development Institute of the university:

- Development of research in areas associated with personal, professional, institutional development and education in the context of sustainable community.

- Promoting well-being in an educational and organizational context through fundamental and applied research.

- Human resource development at a local community level for initial and continuing education.

- Development of strategies for optimizing the school and organizational environment.

Presentation of relevant results

Relevant publications of FPSE research teams deal in topics such as: work and personality, place of control and pro-environmental attitudes, school and university adaptation / maladaptation, working memory and school learning, individual differences in emotional regulation, psychological interventions in risk behaviour management , quality of life and chronic diseases, aspects of the curriculum for primary and preschool education, stimulating children's personal development, specific methodological aspects in adult education in its different contexts, study the attitudes of education actors on the integration of children with SEN in mainstream school, etc. The results of this research can be found in the following publications published in 2010-2018: 49 coordinated books and volumes, over 50 chapters in books and volumes published in national publishers, 16 articles published in ISI journals with impact factor, over 110 articles indexed in international databases.
